A dedicated chargepoint makes running an electric vehicle simpler and cheaper than relying on public networks. We install and maintain chargers for homes, workplaces and business fleets across Powys, Mid Wales, Wales and England.
We are registered with OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles), the government body that administers the EV charging grants. That means we can advise on the current schemes — including the EV chargepoint grant and the Workplace Charging Scheme — and handle the paperwork where you are eligible.
What we install
- Single and three phase: 7kW single-phase chargers for most homes, and 22kW three-phase units for commercial premises and larger supplies.
- Tethered or untethered: a tethered unit with its own cable for convenience, or an untethered socket so you can use the cable that came with your car.
- Smart charging: schedule charges around off-peak tariffs and solar generation, with load balancing so your main fuse is never overloaded.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a grant towards an EV charger?
Grant availability depends on your circumstances. As a business registered with OZEV we can advise on the current EV chargepoint grant and the Workplace Charging Scheme, and handle the application for you where you are eligible.
How long does installation take?
Most domestic installations are completed within a day. If a longer cable run, groundworks or a supply upgrade is needed, we will explain that during the survey and quote.
Can the charger run from my solar panels?
Yes, if you choose a charger that supports solar diverting. We can set it up to use your own generated electricity first, which reduces the cost of every charge.
Do I need to upgrade my fuse board?
Not always. Smart chargers use load balancing to avoid overloading your existing supply, but we will check your installation during the survey and let you know if any upgrades are needed.
